The new function Capacitor Discharge Functionality (CDF) from now available in SERRA’s BETA welding machines can increase slopes up to 10kA/ms and extremely short current flow times, emulating a capacitor discharge system. In this way, optimal results are obtained in the welding of highly resistant materials produced by hot rolling, generally Aluminum-Silicon alloys, which are increasingly used in the production of car body-in-white.
The CDF system applied to the SERRA welders allow optimal results in high resistivity materials.
